Normal Routine

What we are doing, is to simulate, the real world of an Airline Pilot, working with a currently active airline schedule.

The timetable we used is based on the real Air New Zealand times and schedules.. We will, for fun and interest, be adding extra flights to the timetable. These will be in Europe, North & South America and a few in Asia and the Pacific. Also a few more flights on the domestic schedule will be added. Our timetable, both domestic and International will operate year round.

When planning to do one of our flights just go to the timetable and select a flight within 30 mins from your actual time. If your time is 11pm, where there are no flights then, choose any flight, and don’t forget to set your flight simulator clock to the approximate departure time, after you have prepared the aircraft for flight. Note down your departure and arrival times from the ramp at both airports.

Flight time starts from the moment you commence your pushback, till the moment you shutdown your engines at the arrival gate

Taxi Time Both ends are included

Flight time does not include turnaround and refuel time. This is ONE HOUR MINIMUM unless schedule has differing times, in which case schedule times must be adhered to.

You may wish to save the flight and fly it another day. Just remember to add the hour on the next time you load FS2000.  Note some Local time zones in MS Flt Sim 2000 are wrong.

Arrival times will vary due to time zones winds and pilots flying different routes to the same destinations. Our timetable gives an arrival time of approximation for this reason. Please note any delays etc on your PIREP.

Accelerated time

This is NOT to be used on domestic runs under any circumstances. This may be used with any international flight over 3 hours.. All worldwide flights may use it also once you have been flying for a period of 1 hour either manually or on autopilot and must be changed back to normal speed 500NM from your destination. This is necessary so that pilots that fly the proper hours are not left behind by those that just use accelerated time on every flight.

The idea is to be as realistic as we can. Cheating is not what we are about it defeats the whole object

Flight Reports

After your flight please send in your flight reports either at the end of the flight or the next time you are online. Also please read the latest news updates so that you can keep up to date. If the PIREP form is not working, E mail instructions will be posted at the time.

If you cannot fly once every thirty days due to a trip away, just advise us so we do not remove you from the roster. We understand. This also applies for students that want to stay with us after the holidays.

Timetable and Aircraft Types

We do not want to get into the same problems other Virtual Airlines have had  over timetables and types of aircraft. Some of their pilots even complained it does different things on different days of the week you have not shown it.  The airline then goes overboard outside its remit by adding air ambulances, helicopter divisions air taxis until the main  theme is lost. This will not happen with this airline. I am trying to give you as much free choice without going outside realism too much. It a hard thing to balance. We are a Virtual Airline, and will stay a Virtual Airline. We have an excellent schedule and this will constantly be monitored, reviewed and modified as deemed fit by myself, and the entire staff.

The timetable and routes we have put up are for the new guys to Flight Simulator that may not have much experience as well as advanced simmers alike. The idea is to get them experienced by helping them. This is the reason we have a domestic network, and a new comer is not trying to land a 747 at LA in a thunderstorm.

People ask about code shares. We have several code shares with Air Vanuatu, United, National and Thai Virtual Airlines. We also will be bringing you schedules from our Sister airline, Aircalin Virtual as well. You will see the logo’s on the flight schedules telling you what airline is performing that run. Code share flights are ONLY to be flown with the aircraft of the company performing that run, not ours...

Flight Plans

These will be added shortly in the future, and will be available from the Crew Centre...
